A Traveler’s Recollection

It’s possible to loose focus and forget
to visit the cultural marvels of Amsterdam, such
as the Anne Frank or Van Gogh museums, but one
thing you can be sure of, you’ll find at
least one pile of this famous vomit. I’ve
yet to come up with the combination of food, drink,
or drug to produce this local masterpiece, although
I’ve managed to narrow it down to three
certainties. |

party - Love, Sex & Money - at the La
Banque club. The title of the night sums it
up quite well. Bring a lot of cash and dress
well if you want to get in without waiting
for an hour...
Lollapalooza
Various Dates
Lollapalooza, the touring rock festival, is
back for the first time since 1997 with a
formidable line-up of bands including Jane's
Addiction, Audioslave, Queens of the Stone
Age, Incubus, Jurassic 5 and The Donnas. This
date is at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyaghoga
Falls.
Lollapalooza
is the brainchild of Jane's Addiction frontman
Perry Farrell and took place for seven consecutive
years starting in the early Nineties. Now
it's back, with Jane's Addiction and their
decadent rock topping the bill.
Also
appearing are intense rock bands like Audioslave,
the new band formed after the end of Rage
Against the Machine, Incubus and the powerful
Queens of the Stone Age. Adding laid-back
hip-hop to the proceedings are Jurassic 5
and The Donnas bring a healthy dose of much-needed
good time rock 'n' roll. |
